The player revealed that he is contemplating the creation of a mini museum dedicated to sneakers: "The notion has been deliberated upon, aiming to narrate some of my tales through footwear, detailing events that inspired me and pivotal moments in my professional journey. For instance, the progression from the Nike Kyrie 1 to the Kyrie 8 series could be showcased, as well as some of my favorite Puma and Adidas sneakers."
The ambition of Irving is to transform this space into a hub where not only his sneakers are showcased, but also where fellow sneaker enthusiasts can share their narratives. "Sneaker culture has the power to bridge gaps between individuals," he remarked. "I could talk about sneakers for days, and I have a genuine passion for designing them, as well as admiring the creative work of others."
Furthermore, Irving disclosed his intention to part with some of his vintage sneakers: "I'm contemplating selling off my collection of Nike footwear, as that chapter has come to a close for me (previously sponsored by Nike). The proceeds from the sale of these sneakers are intended to be allocated towards other endeavors."
