Pompey Keith commented, "Indeed, inter-squad scrimmages can yield favorable outcomes at times, while their relevance can be limited in others. Last year's event proved particularly fruitful, as it showcased Joel Embiid and his formidable partnership with Adam Bonner as a formidable frontcourt tandem. This provided a glimpse into our team's potential. However, in previous years, some star players would often opt out of these contests. I vividly recall Markelle Fultz's rookie season, where he was specifically matched up against Ben Simmons during a Palestra Gymnasium scrimmage."
